Mimi Strong For You

For You coverHi my “whores”

First let me say A huge thank you to Mimi Strong and Book Crush for letting me be a part of this tour! I truly liked this book! I will for warn you there might be a little spoilers in here!

Book Description

I should have known by the tattoos that Sawyer was trouble. My mother always said to stay away from boys with ink, but she ignored her own advice. She also abandoned me and my little sister.

Life’s been hard for the two of us, on the run and on our own, but I just turned twenty-one and started working at a bar in a new city. I wear a fake wedding band and a veil of lies.

My gold ring didn’t stop Sawyer. He looked into me with his heavenly green eyes, and I nearly forgot my pretty lies. Now he wants to help me get my life together.

I should stay away, because he could blow my cover. When we get found—and I know one day we will—I want my sister to be old enough to handle the truth about our past.

I may be hanging out with Sawyer, but we’re definitely not dating. I swear, he’s not setting me on fire with every glance or casual touch. We’re just friends. I’m not thinking about him wrapping those tattooed arms around me, every second of every day.

Excerpt #1

Aubrey’s POV

The man at the counter didn’t say a word to me, either. He barely took his eyes off the TV sitting at the side of the counter.

When I got back to our pool table, Sawyer was using the Lady Helper to make a shot.

“No way,” I said. “You’re using the Lady Helper? I wanted to use that five shots ago, but I thought you’d make fun of me.”

He tapped the cue ball gracefully, sending it arcing around one ball and gently into another, which ricocheted into the pocket as if programmed.

He said, “No shame in using the tools you have, or taking assistance.”

“How zen.”

“And this isn’t a Lady Helper.” The stick had a metal waving bit at the end, and Sawyer held it up proudly, like a trident.

“What do you call it?”

He grinned. “I call it The Fucking Thing. As in, hand me The Fucking Thing already, so I don’t bend over and give all you perverts a good view of my ass.”

I laughed into my hand.

“So that’s what it takes to get you to laugh. A couple of swear words, and the mental image of my ass on display.”

“Gimme the stick. I paid for an hour and I want my money’s worth.”

As I reached for the cue, he jerked his hand back. “Gimme?”

“Please and thank you.”

“That’s better.” He turned around and pointed to the purple ball. “Now sink that in the corner pocket.”

“I’m still solids? Because I see at least three shots that are easier.”

“I know. But you won’t get any better taking the easy shots. You may as well be at home baking cookies for your daughter.”

I inhaled sharply. My daughter. My lies sounded so much worse on someone else’s lips.

Getting in position for the shot, I realized I had to bank the ball, so I moved around the table. As I shifted past Sawyer, the back of my legs brushed against his. We’d only touched when riding the motorcycle, and the brief contact made me keenly aware of his body. His energy. The mass of him, tall and masculine, inches away from me.

His voice low and husky, he said, “I know I promised not to do this, but I have to. Do I have your permission to get in here and help you.”

Slowly, he positioned himself just behind me and reached his arms around me. I wasn’t scared or upset, because it was Sawyer, and I trusted him. His hot hands looped over mine on the cue, and his heat radiated into my side. His breath hot on my ear, he murmured, “Easy.”

I swallowed and tried to focus on the shot, and not the feelings bubbling up inside me.

“Easy,” he repeated.

“Easy peasy,” I said.

“More like easy does it.” He moved the cue back and forth with authority. He was so good, it made me appreciate the frustration Bell had when I helped with her hand-lettering. Of course writing letters came easily to me; I’d had years of practice and muscle memory.

“Okay, I got it,” I said. “You can let go.”

He gripped my hand tighter. “No, I can’t.”

I turned to look at him, our faces so close, our noses were nearly touching. I lost myself in those green eyes, unable to breathe. My pulse thrummed in my ears.

He said, “I can’t let go, because I’m going to help you make the shot. Focus on the feeling, and I’ll set it up again for you to make on your own.”

“Okay, do it.”

He chuckled. “You have to open your eyes.”

Now my take on this book?! I thought it started a little slow, I am sitting there waiting for the explosion! When it finally comes it is in the kitchen on a table! LOL Spoiler sorry!

Aubery has had to fight for everything in her life and is still fighting. You can tell she doesn’t nor does she want to trust anyone. She is running and looking over her shoulder and always scared. Taking care of her little sister that she claims is her daughter to make sure she has a better life growing up than she did! No one should have to go through the things that no child should ever have to go through!

There was a super funny part when Aubery remembers her past that had me cracking up and I am sure most people will not find funny but to me it was great! Hint bleach!!

When you meet Swayer you don’t know too much about him. We know he is not sure where his life is going and that he loves to paint. Which he is amazing at!!! Oh and that he likes Aubrey and wont let her get away with pretending to be married.

He doesnt believe her from the get go and he wont take no for an answer.

When she finally reveals the truth he does not run like she thinks he will. When her past shows up and she tries to run he stays!

Will they find their happily ever after? You must read to find out!

Mimi is an amazing author and I can’t wait to see what happens now!

Always Remember Cover Reveal

Post Date: April 28, 2013 (Sunday)

How long does it take for a long-distance relationship to break down? Sixteen months.

When Jen and Carl put their relationship to rest after Christmas, Jen’s biggest problem is going back to London ten days earlier than planned – and her ever-present attraction to Samuel ‘Bing’ Edwards.

Bing has no idea why Jen left Devon so fast. All he knows is that he wants her as much as he did the first day he laid eyes on her – so spending time with her while Lexy is still in Devon isn’t exactly a hardship for him. When he finds out she’s single, the only thing on his mind is finishing what they started at his dad’s fiftieth birthday party.

Feelings that have been a long time building between the two explode, and they both find themselves sucked into an easy yet passionate relationship, with Bing determined to prove to Jen that she’s it for him. That she is The One.

But in a city like London, the odds are stacked against them, and there’s always that one person ready to stir things up… And Jen doesn’t know how much of that she can take – even for the guy she loves more deeply than she ever imagined, and eventually she breaks.

Bing isn’t down with that. He wants Jen, and he wants her by his side for good.

Jennifer Mason must learn that Samuel Edwards doesn’t do giving up. Especially not when his forever girl is involved.

He chuckles low, and I suppress the shiver that’s threatening to run through my body. His hand closes around mine, and he pries the hairspray from my grip. His fingers slip between mine, his palm hot. My eyes flick to our hands and how dainty mine looks encompassed in his.

His other hand rises to my face, his thumb tracing down my cheek to the dent below my ear. It ghosts along my jaw, tracing the shape of it, and finally settles on my lower lip. He tugs it from between my teeth gently, and the pad of his thumb strokes across it.

My eyes rise to his, our faces inches from each other.

“You know it’s you, don’t you?” he says softly, uncertainly.

I nod silently, unable to form any words.

“I mean it, Jen.” He cups the side of my face. “Whatever she tries to say, it’s all lies. Even if she hasn’t said it yet, I can tell you it’s a lie.” He dips his face towards me, resting his nose alongside mine. I let my eyes flutter shut, feeling the realness in the moment.

“I know,” I whisper. “But that doesn’t mean-”

“Don’t. Say. It,” he orders in a hushed voice. “I just got you, Jen. I waited for too long to have you, but I do now, and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let her get in between us. I told you, didn’t I? I told you that if anyone doubts us, if you ever doubt us, to come to me.”

“Then do it. Come to me, babe. Don’t let her get under your skin. She’s nothing to me. She never was anything. Not like you.”

I run my free hand along his arm until it rests on his hand cupping my cheek. “What am I, Sam?”

“Everything, Jen. You are everything. Don’t ever doubt that.”

Cover Reveal For Let Love In By Melissa Collins!

I am so thankful to be apart of the Reveal for

Let Love in

Melissa Collins

Release date: May 10th

What would happen if you lost everything?  If the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally were no longer there for you, how would your world change?

That’s exactly what happened to Madeleine Becker when her parents died when she was ten years old.  Ripped from her home and everything that she has ever loved, she is forced to start all over again.  The only way for her to move on is to build walls around her heart and keep everyone at a safe distance. Her logic: she can’t get hurt if she doesn’t fall in love.

That theory is blown to pieces when she meets Reid Connely during her freshman year at college. He is gorgeous and darkly mysterious. He understands Maddy’s pain all too well, but sharing his pain would mean breaking down the walls he put up around his own heart. Conflicted between loving Maddy and hiding his dark past, Reid starts to reevaluate his world.  Maddy’s inner strength, snarky personality and breath taking beauty help Reid to make peace with his past.

Together they find out what happens when they let love in.

Snippet of Maddy and Reid’s first encounter:

There was a group playing quarters on the island and another group lining up shots on the breakfast bar – so not my scene.  I just shrugged my shoulders, opened the door, pulled out a bottle of water and, when I turned around to walk back outside, I face-planted into a wall of solid muscle.

“Hand me one?” His voice was smooth and… gruff at the same time.  Red-faced, I turned back around and got him his water, glad for the cool respite that the opened refrigerator door offered.

“Here you go.” I could not peel my eyes away from his mouth as he moved the bottle to his lips.  They were perfect – beautiful and full in a completely masculine way.  I watched, completely fascinated, as his throat moved, downing the water in three or four large gulps. He wiped his mouth with his forearm and I couldn’t help but let my eyes travel up the rest of his arm to his biceps and shoulders – those were the same as his lips – perfect.  Amazingly, gorgeously, utterly, divinely perfect.  Muscled and tanned, his arms were mouthwatering.

My knees wobbled.  My heart thudded.  Thousands of butterflies spread their wings in my belly.

“Thanks…” he stared blankly at my face for a minute and I couldn’t help but wondering if he liked what he saw.  He cleared his throat and roused me from my little daydream where the gorgeous boy is mesmerized by the maybe-a-little-above-average looking girl.  That’s when I realized he was asking for my name.

“Maddy.  Sorry, my name’s Maddy.” I nearly choked on my tongue to get my freaking name out.

Author Bio:

I’ve always been an avid reader.  Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer.  Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer.  I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it.  When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity.  My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there.  I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Walking Disaster Jamie Mchugh!

Image Wow just WOW!!!!!! You never know what to expect when a book is rewritten for a different POV! I always wonder about it but I was not disappointed at all in this book! I read it in 2 days! While reading another book and doing all of my regular life duties! I LOVED this book even more than Beautiful Disaster is that weird?! I don’t think so. When you read it from Abby’s side you kind of feel like your missing something. I liked the first book it is a good story, but this one was amazing! You see Travis in a whole new light, he always seems a little batty  but now you know why. He loved his mom so much and when he has to say goodbye to her you can tell it breaks his little heart, and he NEVER wants to feel like that again. I don’t blame him for the way he is, his dad shuts himself off from his sons after their mom dies like a big piece of him dies too. Than you are the littlest so of course you are fair game for all the older boys. When he meets Abby his view on everything changes and he wants her in a way he has never wanted any other girl. It is not just sex or a good time it is love and wanting more. He does so many crazy things to scare her away but he sees them as keeping her close. He gets her a puppy for her birthday and helps her name it TOTO! I love it! Even though she is not from Kansas well not really lol! Oopps her little secret. He gets her nickname on his wrist and a script on is side WHO DOES THAT! Someone who is either deeply in love or out of their mind! When she leaves him after they have sex you don’t know what he does you only see what she does. Now we know that he goes bat shit crazy! Like UBER crazy he breaks doors off hinges he breaks the fridge. You see him break down after he takes her back to the dorm on Thanksgiving and his brothers helping him get through it. Taking him out to drink he doesn’t sleep with anyone else and tries to be her friend even though it is slowly killing him inside. I true gentleman is what he has become, well for the most part we will leave Parker out of this because I don’t really like him like at all! He is too cocky for his own good! Get it haha ok not funny, moving on. Now you see him for all he is! The best part THE BEST PART was the end 11 years later WOW kids, happy, great job and REVENGE! It is always a dish best served cold NO? YES to get his revenge and to know that she is safe and sound is amazing!

Jamie you did an amazing job thanks for sharing your beautiful story with us!!

Cover Reveal for Stay by S Mulholland

Stay - S_ Mullholland Official Cover

I am so pleased to be part of the cover reveal for Stay by S Mulholland! I can not wait to read it!! Bio and Synopsis to follow below! Enjoy! XOXO

I was born in Honduras but raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin from a very early age. I went to St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI before joining the U.S. Navy in 2006. After my short career in the military, I got married and started having kids. I have two munchkins now J I’ve been a stay at home mom for a couple of years.

This past Christmas, my husband got a Nook Color as a gift and he never got to use it because it was always glued to my hands. I never liked reading but once I picked up that Nook—I was addicted. So I’ve read a TON of books and it’s become my getaway. I started writing as a hobby but after I finished Stay, my husband encouraged me to get out there…so here I am. I love listening to music and find it inspirational and I think that it goes hand in hand with writing.

Genre: New Adult

Eighteen year old Alexandra has finally made it out of her abusive mother’s house alive, now going to St. Norbert College in the small town she grew up in; she wants to experience living her own life, free of abuse, but on the night she meets Jason Roberts; her fate has something different in mind.

Alexandra and Jason have a strong connection but the closer she gets to him, the further he shuts her out. This doesn’t stop Alexandra’s heart from falling in love with Jason and she fears that he might not feel the same way about her. Jason holds a lot of mystery and secrets that Alexandra tries to figure out but on a night when they are to meet, he never shows up, leaving her to mourn the loss of his absence.

Months later, he returns to tell her he’ll never be able to be with her the way that she wants to be with him. Hurt for the second time by the man she loves, Alexandra decides to move on with her life with what others told her to be “the perfect man”, Zac Millington, but as time goes by she realizes that things were never as they seemed…as he seemed.

If you had the opportunity to change what becomes your worst nightmare, would you take the chance to change it or pretend like that nightmare is what’s meant to be?

Stay is a romantic depiction of how two people that are meant to be together are torn apart by the one thing they both have in common. As they both go through their own versions of abuse, will they be able to stay after finally finding each other again?

Excerpt: (Might differ from published version)

“Are you sure this is the right house? Looks empty.”

I say breaking the silence between us. He lets go of my hand and peeks through the window on the door. There’s obviously nobody here. It’s dark as hell in there.

“Shit. They told me to come a long time ago; I guess I took too long. I’m sorry; I thought for sure I would be able to turn your early night into a long one.”

He says turning around to face me.

I can see his eyes now because of the light on the back porch and they look like sapphire blue…just deep blue eyes that are intense and intimidating. It seems as though he can see right through me with those piercing eyes of his so I get fidgety again. He obviously knows I’m staring at him. God, I have to get away from this guy, I am a blabbering and fidgety idiot in front of him. I don’t know how much more I can embarrass myself.

“No biggie. This is actually the most fun I’ve had all night, so I should be thanking you, Jason…uh….Jason..?” I ask because I want to know his last name to make sure I stalk him on the internet. Wow I’m a tool.

“Roberts. Jason Roberts” He responds with a smirk.

“Well Jason Roberts. Would you like to walk me to my dorm room so that I can start my early night?”

I say with a voice that’s supposed to be flirty but I think sounds more like I’m a nervous wreck, which I am, but he doesn’t have to know that. I look down at my feet because that was the worst attempt at flirting.

I feel the intensity of his eyes on me “of course, Alexandra….Alexandra….uh…?”

I look up at his smiling face “Angel…Alex Angel”

I return his smile.

“Nice. Interesting name. I like it, Alexandra Angel…shall we?”

I have NEVER liked the third book over the second! And that is what happened with Reckless!! S C Stephens nailed it in everyway! Before you keep reading there will be spoilers!!!!

Kellan and Keira are on the road to marraige and huge sucess!!! The D-bags are going to be huge they are going on tour, they are getting signed to a label! Keira is going to be done with school and choose what she wants to do with her life!

But there always seems to be something getting in the way! Am I wrong? UMM NO It seems like for every 3 step foward there are 2 steps back!!

The first part is kind of slow, the boys are on tour and Keira is home going to school and hanging out with Denny with out Kellan knowing it! my gosh I can not even get my thoughts together to write a good review!! And for me this never happens I might forget a word because my fingers move faster than I mean for them too! But man!!! When Sienna comes in to the picture she pisses me off from the very start! You know she is a dirty whore who will do anything for sales no matter what! And that is what she does, the sad thing that there really are people like that in the world! Only out for what is best for them! And because of her the D-Bags could lose everything they are trying for!! I think that S C Stephens nailed it with this one! I can not say enought nice things about it lol!! As you can tell!! Kellan meets his real father, his sister and his little brother who both happen to be a big fan of his before they knew who he was. It is amazing they both end up with everything they could have ever wanted. All of the D-bags, their girls, and their families become one HUGE happy family and it is amazing! JUST READ THE BOOK LOL!!!

The Love Game by Emma Hart

The book took a piece of my heart…………

His challenge? Make her fall in love with him.
Her challenge? Play the player.
Until life changes the rules of the game.

Maddie Stevens hated Braden Carter on sight. Arrogant, egotistical, and the playboy of the University of California, Berkeley, he’s everything her brother Pearce has taught her to despise. So why, when the girls challenge her to play the player, doesn’t she say no? She doesn’t know either.
Braden wanted fiery little Maddie the second he laid eyes on her – and he’d do anything to have her, hence why he’s agreed to make her fall in love with him. After all, it’s the only way he’ll get what he wants. Sex.
But, as Braden discovers, there’s more to the girl from Brooklyn than he ever imagined – and he can’t help but care about the broken girl behind those pretty green eyes.
Maddie finds Braden isn’t just a walking erection – he actually has feelings. He can be sweet, funny and his good looks don’t exactly hurt. That means trouble – but when her brother Pearce turns up in Berkeley begging for her help, she starts to see that Braden and Pearce aren’t so alike anymore.
And maybe, just maybe, they’re exactly what each other needs.

The Love Game……………… A challange on both sides! Maddie is a sweet little inoccent girl who takes a bet from her friends, make the player of the campus fall in love and show him how it feels to be hurt by someone.
Braden is your typical freshman in college player we all know the type and he has his sites set on Maddie!
Their friends have no idea but these 2 little bets are going to turn everyone’s life upside down. Maddie never really opens up to anyone new her past is the past and she is trying to leave it behind, but Braden has something on her that makes her feel safe and is ready to open up to him. Even when her past comes all the way to Brooklynn to haunt her a little!
Braden starts to see that there is more to all of this game than he ever thought there could be. He has feelings and something about Maddie makes him want to prove to her and himself that he does have feelings and he can be a great guy!
Who wins in the game of love?
Maddie and Braden make you cheer for love and pray for a happy ending.

I think that Emma Hart has done a wonderful job with this. You are drawn in to this book because everyone has put their heart on the line for the game of love!!!!!!!!

look for this on Twitter with the #PublicAppreciation @Emmahartauthor @eford09
Emma and Danielle so much for trusting me enough to do this tour!
