Release Me (Callahan Series #3) by A C Marchman

Release Me

Prequel to overwhelm me & stay with me.

Donovan Callahan started a relationship with the married Claire Dubois as a teenager. He was attracted to her beauty and raw sexuality, letting his hormones take control of him. He couldn’t resist the woman all the guys at school could only dream about.

As time went by, she sank her claws in deep, keeping his heart in a vice grip and toying with his emotions. He longed to be free, but was terrified of what this crazy woman was capable of. She had a way of keeping him in line, either by physical or mental force. She is manipulative, conniving, and just plain evil. She pulled him back in as he tried to push away. Donovan felt trapped in a web of lies and deceit. If Donovan was in a web, just call Claire the proverbial black widow.

Find out why Donovan is the way he is and how Claire screwed him up in more ways than one. Donovan has to take back control of his life. He wants Claire to release him, for good.

My Thoughts: So let me tell you I love her books and my god is the cover HOTT!!! I have been waiting to see what Donovan has had to say for quite sometime. This book is great if you have read the first two books you know what I am talking about. The cliff hanger at the end of the last books was amazballs to say the least. The stuff that you felt missing for the last two books is here and it makes thing so much more clear. Now that I have figured out what I felt was missing I can not wait to see what happens, how will Claire handle all of the information that Donnie has just given her. A C Marchman does a great job by not revealing everything and anything but by giving you the pieces that are so important on who Donovan is today and I love me some Donovan. yummmyyy lol! I mean just look at the cover!!

I sat down at the table to drink some coffee and read the paper. I’m turning into my father.
That’s when I saw the headline.
TV Producer, Frank Dubois, age 55, found dead in his Atlanta home
Oh my God! My brain was trying to catch up with what the headline said. I kept reading.
Early this morning, the famous TV producer, Frank Dubois, died at his Atlanta estate. His distraught wife, Claire Dubois, the star of reality show Atlanta Society, called 911 when she found her husband unresponsive in their bed.
“Frank wasn’t feeling the best, so we called it an early night. He was complaining of severe stomach cramps and back pain. So Frank and I went to bed together. I woke early to use the restroom. When I came back to bed, I cuddled next to my husband and realized he wasn’t breathing. I called 911 immediately and told them to hurry. But it was too late. My Frank is gone and is never coming back to me.”
Mr. Dubois was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Along with his wife, he leaves behind a son, Frank Dubois, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Regina Rankins. The television company Frank worked for released a statement to the family, expressing their sympathy and condolences.
“The network just won’t be the same without Frank around. He will be sorely missed,” Vince Galloway, CEO of RTN Network, stated.
I couldn’t read anymore. I threw the paper on the table. Frank was dead and the first thing that came to mind was the conversation Geniese and I had years prior to this. “But that couldn’t have happened. There was no talk of foul play, no bullet wounds or ligature marks. Just that he was dead, in bed.” I started pacing the floor, trying to decide it I should even call Claire right now. That wouldn’t sound good if her lover called right after her husband is found dead. I put the phone down and waited for her call.
It took two days. Two days of insane worrying. Two nights of sleepless nights, tossing and turning. Two full days of mental torture.
The phone finally rang.

Strong-willed and arrogant, Daemon Pierce has been working hard to protect Paige from Chris and from herself. Letting go of his life as a womanizer, Daemon tries to prove to Paige that she can trust him, even though he refuses to enlighten her as to his past. Daemon struggles to comply with Paige’s ridiculous demand to be “roommates” and quickly finds that he has fallen in love with the girl who does nothing but push him away.

Chris is still on the loose and Paige becomes impatient at the amount of time it is taking the authorities to apprehend him. Paige takes it upon herself to hunt Chris down, while still refusing to ask for Daemon’s assistance. When Paige discovers a message left by Chris, she devices a plan to locate him while keeping Daemon in the dark as to her plans. Excerpt #1:

Once I was safely tucked away in his room, Daemon closed and locked the door.  His crystal blue eyes seared into me before his gaze traveled lazily over my body.  I stood stock still attempting to gain control over myself.  The force of his stare was mystifying and I had to intentionally look to the floor to release myself from the seductive spell he was weaving around me.  His feet moved in two long strides before his hand clutched my chin and forced my eyes back to his.

“You can’t hide your eyes from me, Paige.  Not in here; and definitely not when I can finally rip those clothes off of you and fuck you until you’re sated and sloppy.”  His words were spoken with a sensual drawl and I instantly dampened in response.  My thighs pressed themselves together as I fought against my reaction to him.  The sexual tension was palpable and the air was charged with an electric spark that popped against every inch of my skin.  I could feel logic and reasoning slipping away from my grasp and I stepped back a step to distance myself and breathe.  Daemon oozed eroticism and carnal desire so thick that it wrapped around me, overtaking every sense and function of my body.   My breathing increased its pace as my heart thundered against my chest.  I took another step back and noticed that with each step I took, Daemon took one forward.  He was stalking me, cornering me with the intent to devour me in every way possible.  I knew I only had a small window of time to redirect his mood and hopefully get him talking.

My hands went up to halt Daemon’s progress.  “Um, maybe we could hold that thought and…I don’t know…talk for a little while? We really haven’t had a moment alone all day, well, except for this morning…”

The corners of his lips quirked when I mentioned our morning encounter.

“…so, we should catch up.” That was lame, but it was the only complete sentence I could formulate at that particular moment.

His head angled and he continued stalking forward while I backed myself further away.  Within no time, I’d backed myself into a wall and Daemon’s stare grew impossibly more heated when he realized I was trapped.  His chest pressed lightly against mine and his head angled so that he could whisper suggestively in my ear.

“What would you like to talk about, Damsel?  I’m all ears.”  His teeth nipped my earlobe and I shuddered, pressing my palms into the wall for stability.  Hair prickled along the back of my neck as his warm breath rolled across my skin.

My voice was breathy as I answered, “You.” I paused a beat to adjust to the quickening of my heart. “I want to talk about you.”

Daemon leaned away to look at my face.  His one brow arched arrogantly and the corners of his mouth turned up in amusement.  “I’m about to thoroughly and completely fuck you, and you are asking to talk about me instead?”  A humorless laugh escaped him. The amusement left his face and his eyes locked with mine.  His voice was low and husky when he said, “I’m sorry, Paige.  But right here, and right now, I have absolutely no interest in talking.  In fact, I prefer that you listen to everything I tell you to do.”

meets Cole, a sexy divorcee. She denies their mutual attraction and tries

to put him out of her mind.

When an abusive person from her childhood makes an unexpected visit,

Inky’s world is turned upside down. Secrets are revealed and truths are

exposed leaving Inky devastated and questioning what she thought was

love. As she picks up the pieces and tries to move on, she finds her path

crosses with Cole once again and this time, she cannot deny the passion

between them.

Once she opens her heart again, will she be able to move forward or will

her past find a way to stop her?
6X9 INKY Full_.indd

“Please…” I begged. The way he spoke and the words he

used, I wanted him more than ever. I felt him move to my feet,

straddling the end of the chaise. He was stroking his cock harder

and hissing between his teeth. “Come for me. Come for me so I can

put my cock in you and fuck you hard and finally make you scream,

Anika. Come for me.” His words were like fire igniting my flesh. I

came at his urging and as soon as the first shudders of my orgasm

began, he thrust himself into me, hard and deep. “Ah, Cole,

yes…please, please.” I felt the second wave begin as he rammed

against me, his sweat dripping onto my face as we came together.

He cried out my name, almost a roar and I’d never heard anything

more erotic and sexy in my life. I wasn’t sure if I did indeed scream

but it was beyond amazing. He collapsed against me, panting and

breathless. “God, what you to do me. How did you know I’d like

that?” “Lucky guess?” I replied trying to catch my breath.

“It’s even more beautiful than I remember it.” I was not alone.

His voice flowed over my exposed back to the nape of my neck and

climbed to my ears. I felt my skin ignite with his rich smooth tone.

Maybe this was the effect of the Cognac and champagne combined

with the emotion of the painting. I was afraid to turn around. So many

things could happen now. I could turn into a pillar of salt, unlikely. I

could blush or say something inappropriate, more likely. But the

most likely outcome would be that the tears that were just sitting

there, holding on for dear life, would break free and expose me

completely. I chose to look ahead. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to

acknowledge him. I didn’t want to break the spell. His hand rested at

the small of my back and he spoke gently to me, “It’s magnificent.

You captured it perfectly… Anika.”

Book Synopsis:
Samantha Hall needs a fresh start

Broken hearted and alone in a new city, Samantha begins to build a new life for herself while working as a bartender. Focusing on her new friends and rebuilding her broken life, Samantha is content.

Until she meets him – attorney by day and a cocky, foul mouth playboy by night.
All girls want Slade Long, but not one has ever been able to keep his attention for long. Having a different woman in his bed every night is how he prefers it-no emotion, no connection.

Until he meets her – an angel with the sweetest voice he has ever heard and the most enticing green eyes. Samantha makes him second guess his actions and has him wanting something he didn’t know existed. How can a man who has never been in love, be so sure? Can real love happen this fast?

Burned by her past, Samantha struggles to keep up with the overwhelming passion she feels for Slade. She knows that he will be nothing but trouble to her already fragile heart, but how long can she continue to deny the love that she feels for him?
Will Samantha let Slade prove his love is real, or will she push him away?

She thought she knew love…… He thought he never wanted love….. Together they will show each other what they can’t live without.

My thoughts: This book was a good read! I really liked Slade and Sam I think in this book they both were able to complement each other very well. Does that makes sense lol!!!! Poor Sam her life kind of sucked for a while and Slade oh Slade a man whore (you would think this is nothing new right WRONG) Slade is different. He is your typical man whore he is willing to do it all and all the time until he talks to Sam! He can feel something there before he even knows who she is!
The start of them getting to know each other is amazball funny! It only got better from there. Slade turns everything upside down for everyone and he has to work so hard at it which I loved! This was not the typical oh I love you cuz your hot! OH NO!!!! This was work for both of them.
One of the things that I really liked about this book was that Shantel did not go over board trying to give you that OMG moment. They were in there but not over done and not too many. So it made those moments even better! I think that is what I loved about this book the most!!! Great job Shantel!

Zack is Katie’s twin brother

About this author If you are reading this, I think you should know that “About me” sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I am supposed to write about, so here it goes!

Katie Mac is a simple country girl who likes to spend time with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen, canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Katie likes to hike and go camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!
Katie was born and raised in North Carolina, and while she loves to travel, she can’t imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has come to call home. Not a day goes by that Katie doesn’t thank God for abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful. She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every fiber of her being. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Katie loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between her toes. As far back as she can remember, she’s had a book in her hand. Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she’s always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those stories as much as she loves writing them!/span></span><o:p></o:p></div>

Author Bio:
hb heinzer

With the exception of three years spent in the middle of Nebraska, H.B. Heinzer has called southern Wisconsin home. During that time in Nebraska, she imagined one of her favorite authors living on the far western edge of the county, just south of the highway. At the time, becoming a novelist was a distant dream for her. Now, she is the author living in that location. Ironically, she later found out that same favorite author lives just outside the town HB lived in for the first eighteen years of her life.
Now, HB lives in the middle of nowhere but still close enough to the city to not feel isolated. It’s the perfect place to let her two kids run and explore their huge yard, teach them about the food chain as they prepare their first-ever garden and debate building a chicken coop. It’s one of those dreams that is only possible thanks to the amazing opportunities that have come through writing.
