Synopsis

Phoenix has been stumbling through life since her brother Adric’s tragic death but after eight years, she is finally piecing what remains together. She has a nice apartment, a steady job and not to mention a fresh new ‘relationship’ with her childhood friend, Kade Haze. He’s the sexy boy next door that she never even dreamed of falling for, but can’t seem to stop the pull she feels toward him.

Just when life began to make sense again and a feeling of normalcy was on the horizon, Phoenix’s carefully constructed walls come crashing down.

When walking into the tattoo shop one day, the last thing that she’s expecting to see is Kellan Haze, Adric’s best friend that no one has seen or heard from since the day that they found her brother’s body. He’s nothing as she remembers him as a child, with his wild messy hair, tattoos that cover most of his undeniably sexy body and eyes so intense that it makes her legs quiver with one look. The one thing that even she can’t deny is the instant rush that she feels just by being in his presence.

But how can you choose between love and lust when one of these hold a dark secret, one that can crush your world to pieces and leave you gasping for air. Who can you trust when your mind is pulling you in two different directions and your heart has to choose for you?

The Haze brothers are sexy, daring and possibly . . . dangerous.

This Regret is a story of love, lust, betrayal and danger with an ending that no one saw coming.

Excerpt

I sit there fighting to catch my breath as I watch him run his hands over his face before running his fingers through his hair, tugging it.

“That’s all I’ll ever be to you, isn’t it? Adric’s little sister,” I say stiffly. “I’m not a child anymore and I have taken more pain than you know. You think you’ve been hurting over the years, well fuck you Kellan because I’ve been hurting worse.” I stand up from the desk and pull my skirt down. I’m in so much heartache right now, especially after getting to feel those lips on mine, just to take the feeling away and never give it again. It hurts like hell, but I refuse to show it. “Oh and don’t ever kiss me again. I don’t think your brother would like his lips to be where yours has been.”

The look on his face is as if I’ve just slapped him. It’s the same look that Kade had given me when I called him by his brother’s name. I don’t even know why I just said what I said. Maybe I want to hurt him just as bad as he has hurt me over the years.

He rubs a hand over his mouth and looks me in the eye. “You’re right. I don’t think he would like that either.” He stares me in the eyes while walking over to stand in front of me. His eyes trail down to my lips as he speaks again. “But I think I fucking hate his lips on yours more.”

Before I can speak, his lips crush mine again as he backs me up against the wall. This time he doesn’t even ask for entrance, he just takes it. He places his hand on my chin and pushes my head back, causing me to gasp as he slips his tongue into my mouth. His tongue hungrily caresses mine and this time, I feel the coolness of the steel in his mouth as he swirls his tongue around mine, before sucking it into his mouth. “Fuck the rules and fuck what Kade wants. Here’s to making this day better. Today, you’re mine.”

I look at his mouth as he runs his tongue over his lip and looks me in the eye. “Kellan, you don’t have to-“

“Come with me,” he breathes. “I have places that I want to take you.”

His Adams apple bobs as he looks at me waiting for a response. “What about the party and your family?”

“Screw the party, Phoenix. This day is about you and being sure that you never have to suffer on this day again. Give me a chance to change your mind.”

He looks at me pleadingly and I can’t help but to give in. A part of me doesn’t even care where he’s taking me as long as I’m with him. “Okay, take me anywhere you want.”

I hope this is the right decision or I’m in for a world of hurt.

Beck By Harper Sloan

 Beck
Harper Sloan
Book 3 – Corps Security Series
**Warning** This book is intended for a mature reading**
~DEE~
I’ve always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.
But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.
All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self-right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.
So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won’t let me go.
~BECK~
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.
To make her mine.
She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.
**NO cliffhanger, HEA, inter-connected standalones**
My thoughts: This is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write! I love these books, I think that Harper has quite a nac for getting these hot ass alpha male guys just right. Beck has always been one of my favorites from the first book, there was just something about him. And Dee is amazing I find that she is a lot like me!! I would much rather keep things in instead of having everyone feeling sorry for me. This book was not an easy read or even quick read at that…… I had to stop a couple times because I thought my heart was going to crack! I think that Beck that is such a deep soul that we have yet to meet and now that we are getting to know him and Dee a lot better you feel pieces of the last two books coming together. If you remember you could feel Dee pulling away for Cage and Izzy, and I think that we know why but at the same time we dont know why, because Harper is soo good at keeping it all in and giving nothing extra away. That is one of the things that I love about her books, she gets her timing just right everytime. So as I was saying you feel Dee pulling away and you are missing pieces to it and now we are finding those pieces and some are what I thought and some are not. And we have Beck who we think is a big tough guy who is just fucking around and having fun, but his pull to her is so strong and his love for her is sooo deep that you feel his pain that he has for her. And when he thinks that she is slipping from him totally he almost loses himself just to get her back. The twist and turns and plot twists that Harper puts into this are beyond CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not see some of these things coming and I am so thankful that I had someone to email while reading it because I had to walk away from it at one point because like I said my heart was cracking!!! I cant really say much more than this without giving away everything for you! I promise you that you will not be sorry for reading this it is amazing and I can not wait for the next one. Thank you Harper for this wonderful book and for letting me read it before it came out!!!
About The Author
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper’s passion for reading runs deep. It wasn’t until ‘Axel’ decided to take up residence that she realized her true calling.
She started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn’t take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.

New Blurb:

Criminal defense attorney Veronica Winters always wondered what it would be like with sexy former detective Trace Rooks. Even though he’s an ex-convict now, because of her, she still wonders. Ronnie has always felt damned guilty for recommending a plea deal that sent an innocent man to jail. When she finds out he’s back in jail and a friend asks her to question him about the situation, Ronnie thinks she might finally have the opportunity to set things right with him.

At the jail though, she finds a changed man she almost doesn’t recognize. The scars on the outside are nothing compared to the scars he bears inside. Instead of the charming, easy going man she represented four years prior, his attitude now is as hard as his body. But she finds out the new, edgier Trace Rooks turns her on even more than the man she knew before.

Trace Rooks, would love nothing better than seeing the Shark Lady get her due for sending him to prison unjustly. He would make sure Ronnie Winters eventually got hers, but at the moment, he had other priorities. Like taking down his corrupt father. The man who had paid off the woman touted to be the best criminal defense attorney in the state to help send him to prison.

When Ronnie shows up at the jail asking questions, Trace isn’t giving her anything except a hard time. He believes she’s there on his father’s behalf again, and there is no way in hell he is falling for her lines again. Trace was a man that learned for his mistakes, and trusting Ronnie Winters had been the biggest of his life.

But when Ronnie doesn’t get the answers she wants from him, she starts digging around on her own. Trace knows that can get him killed or sent back to prison again. He decides that the best thing he can do is heed his grandfather’s advice to keep his friends close and his enemies closer. He isn’t sure which camp Ronnie Winters falls into yet, but he’s going to keep her close until he figures it out.

Maybe he could get the answers he’d been looking for the last three years. If not, he could at least get his pound of flesh from the mouthy, leggy redhead every man in Texas was afraid of. Trace wasn’t afraid of Ronnie Winters, but he quickly finds out he isn’t immune to her either. When that leads to thinking he might just have misjudged the beautiful redhead before, and perhaps there was more to her than met the eye, Trace knows he’s in deep trouble.

DIRTY EXCERPT:

“You want answers, Veronica?” Trace ground out, his eyes hard and dark. His arm shot across the table, and she flinched. He laughed and grabbed her pen then leaned back and dropped it under the table. Lowering his voice, he leaned forward again to growl, “Let me tell you what I want, then you decide if you still want those answers.” He drummed his fingers on the table.

Tingles of alarm coursed through Veronica traveling with the excitement already buzzing along her nerve endings. Something wasn’t right here. Trace Rooks wasn’t right. Three years in prison had warped him, changed him into a man she didn’t know. One who scared her a little. And that was saying a lot. Because men didn’t scare her—ever. She was the one who scared them.

Veronica stiffened her shoulders, and her spine to sit up straighter in her chair. She was The Shark Lady, the best damned criminal lawyer in Amarillo, and he better damn well remember who he was talking to.

Trace shoved his chair up under the table, and the sound grated through her. He slouched in the chair, and drummed his fingers on the table again. “What I want, Red, is for you to get under that table, and pick up that pen,” he drawled, his eyes glittering with purpose. The scar on his cheek deepened when his mouth twisted into a travesty of a smile. “While you’re under there, I want you to unzip my pants and suck my dick. If you do a good enough job of it, I’ll give you your answers.”

Ronnie snorted, and leaned back in her chair crossing her arms over her chest. “Dream on, big boy.”

He was out of his mind if he thought she was going to do that. Her eyes involuntarily traveled to the camera mounted in the corner. Not that the camera mattered, there was no way she was going to do what he wanted even if there wasn’t a camera. But the thought of it made her wet. The possibility of getting caught, the probability of getting away with something so daring.

“I’m not dreaming,” he said smoothly. “You’re the one who came here to get answers from me. That’s the only way you’re going to get them, Veronica. I haven’t had sex in three years because of you. You owe it to me. Bet mine doesn’t taste any different than Leland’s did.”

Three years? Trace Rooks had only served two years, and had been out of prison for six months. Before he went to prison, Trace Rooks didn’t have trouble finding a willing woman. She couldn’t believe getting laid wasn’t near the top of his priority list when he got out of prison. While she worked on his case, Veronica knew of at least two women he was with when he was out of jail pending court hearings. One of them had even been in the courtroom, bawling hysterically when he was sentenced.

Either one of those women would probably do just what he asked. Veronica wasn’t those women. And she absolutely was not getting under that table to suck Trace Rooks off.

His eyes narrowed and a smug smile kicked up the corner of his firm mouth. “You asked me back then why Leland wanted me in jail. What if I told you?” he asked with a lifted brow. “Would you suck my dick for that information? How far would you go, Veronica? Would you swallow when I come in your mouth too?” Trace sucked a breath in through his teeth and moved one of his hands under the table. “God, I’m hard just thinking about it.”

Her eyes focused on his mouth. Firm, full lips that spewed his venom, issued his dirty challenges. “Stop being vulgar, Trace. You’re just trying to shock me. Just talk to me. I’m trying to help you here.”

“Help me, help you. Isn’t that what you told me when you said I should accept that bogus plea deal, Red?”

“I was trying to help. Taking that deal was in your best interest,” she said leaning back in her chair again. She glanced under the table and the pen taunted her.

Trace laughed harshly. “You helped me right into three years in prison. Now I’m going to help you get your answers, right after you give me a blow job.”

She snorted, and lifted a brow. “Keep screwing with me and I’ll get under that table and bite your dick off,” she threatened.

He leaned forward on his elbows, and met her eyes directly. “You bite me and when I get out, I’ll tie you up and spank your ass until you beg me to fuck you.” Trace wasn’t kidding. His dark eyes were focused on her, and he didn’t blink, not once. A dull throb started at the apex of her thighs, and she uncrossed her legs to press her knees together.

This was ridiculous. Ronnie didn’t like kinky sex, had never had a partner who was into it either. Why was she getting so turned on then by his naughty suggestions?

She shook her head to clear it. This wasn’t getting her anywhere. She also realized she wasn’t getting anywhere with Trace Rooks, and considering his mood, she wasn’t going to. Veronica scraped her chair back, then reached down for her briefcase.

The black pen near his foot taunted her again. He used the toe of his boot to slowly shove it to one side, then the other, and she felt his gaze hot on the side of her face. Back and forth, he moved it, teasing her. But he said nothing.

There was no way she could leave that pen there. It was a very expensive Mont Blanc. A pen she had been given by her attorney father when she graduated from law school. A memoir of the only time in her life he’d ever told her he was proud of her. So what if he’d only said it on the card that came with the pen, and he was a thousand miles away in Northern California handling a big case at the time. He had finally said it.

“Do it, Red,” Trace urged in a low growl, as he edged the pen with his toe again. She dropped to her knees beside her briefcase and crawled under the table. She saw Trace’s hand resting on his crotch. He stroked himself, and she saw the hard ridge of his large penis outlined under his jeans. Her mouth watered, as she contemplated doing what he asked.

She had always been curious what the big draw was with him. Why women were always after him. Policewomen and attorneys alike, even the female criminals fell prey to his charms. Hell, she’d even heard he’d done a judge and a female senator, while he was a detective. He must be one hell of a lover is all she could come up with. Curiosity about him is what had her so hot and bothered when she was representing him.

Trace unzipped his jeans, and she saw his thick erection straining at the top of his tight white underwear. She bit back a groan, as her hand closed around the ink pen. His foot landed on top of her hand to trap it.

“You know you want to do it, Veronica. You’ve wanted to do it for years. Since you first met me,” he suggested softly. “Now’s your chance, Red. To get your answers and satisfy your curiosity.” His sexy, tempting voice sent a chill down her spine.

CLEAN EXCERPT:

The flames licking at her insides were from anger now not desire. “Well, if that isn’t the most romantic thing a man has ever said to me. I think I’ll have to pass,” she said and turned to stalk toward the door. Her hand closed over the door knob as his dropped on her shoulder. “Wait, Red…”

Ronnie fought to corral the emotions trying to consume her. She was not emotional, had never been prone to drama. But if she turned and looked at Trace Rooks right now, she had a feeling she would turn into a bawling, screaming, emotional…woman. She sucked in a breath then twisted the knob.

The door cracked open, but he leaned his arm over her shoulder to push it closed. “I said wait. I want to talk to you.”

“You’re an asshole. I have nothing to say to you,” Ronnie said, folding her arms across her chest, mortified at the emotion she heard in her voice.

“Yeah, I am an asshole,” he agreed with a dark chuckle

“Well, at least we agree on something,” she grated, reaching for the door knob again. She needed to get away from this man as fast as she could, before she turned around and did what he asked. Beg him to fuck her.

Trace leaned closer to her ear to whisper sexily, “Tell me what you want, Red.” His hot breath tickled her ear, sending tingles down her neck, across her chest directly to her nipples and they hardened.

“What I want is to get out of here,” she replied weakly.

His heat surrounded her when he leaned into her body and trailed his fingers down her arm to her wrist, leaving chill bumps in their wake. He closed his hand over hers and that warmth spread through her body before he pried her fingers off of the door knob. Ronnie knew she was in trouble when he turned her to face him. He trapped her against the door with his big body, and his eyes met hers.

“Is this what you want, Red?” he asked as his head slowly descended toward hers. He shoved his fingers into her hair as his mouth closed over hers in a sensual kiss. The emotions that were balled up in her chest unfurled in the most spectacular fireworks display she’d ever seen behind her closed eyes.

Yes, this is exactly what I want, she thought, as his other hand glided from her shoulder to her waist. He gently pulled her against his hard body, and swallowed Ronnie’s sigh into his mouth. His tongue found hers and invited it into an erotic dance that sent all the moisture in her body downward.

This was the man that Ronnie remembered. The man she wanted him to be again. The man she wanted to make love to her.

The Invincible Flying Eagle By Perto Herrera

Title: The Invincible Flying Eagle
Author: Perto Herrera
Publication Date: August 2, 2013

Perto Herrera:

Sexual Abuse Survivor, Author, Speaker, Humanitarian, Human Rights Activist

After a successful career in home health care, including managing his own company, Perto Herrera became an author and continued his calling to help needy people, especially victims of sexual abuse.

Herrera himself is a survivor of severe sexual molestation as a young boy raised in a poverty-stricken family in a small village in El Salvador. The personal lessons learned had led the author to fulltime writing, speaking, and philanthropic efforts to help sexual abuse victims and individuals trapped in poverty.

Two to three times a year Herrera travels to meet face-to-face with sexual abuse victims, parents and family members of victims, and men who are abusers. In 2010 on an early trip to El Salvador, Perto actually met two of the men who sexually abused him as a boy, talked with them, hugged them, and forgave them. His message to victims is how to survive and escape from abuse through courage, faith, and concerted action. His message to parents is to believe their children and protect them.

Perto also has paid the costs to send six children to college to escape poverty and enter professions such as law, business and teaching. He has pledged to spend 75 percent of the proceeds from his book to help needy persons and abused persons. Perto’s personal story of abuse is told in his first book, The Invincible Flying Eagle: Book One. This painful and shocking memoir tells the story of how Perto was abused by 11 people (nine men and two women) over a period of five years until the day his saving grace – in the form of an eagle, attacked his most dangerous abuser. The eagle, Perto believes to be a messenger from God, guided him toward a safer place and a new chance at life.

After escaping from his village as a pre-teen, Perto was captured by guerrilla forces and forced to serve as a child warrior in the rebel army. After refusing to use a rifle to kill anyone, Perto was punished several times but ended up being a radio operator for the commanding general. After lying to a priest about wanting to become a priest, Perto escaped the Army with the help of monks and lived in two convents in Central America before escaping to Mexico and then to the United States.

Summing up his mission, Herrera says: “I want the needy ones and victims of abuse to know that they are not alone anymore. I am here for them as they strive toward the pinnacles of personal recovery.”

“When I was raped and abused as a young boy I felt alone and trapped without hope,” says Herrera. “I now want to do everything I can to help people trapped in poverty and to help children who feel alone and guilty because they have been molested. My book is to educate readers about how horrid sexual abuse is, and my humanitarian efforts are to help victims recover and live a normal life feeling loved and worthy.”

The book details in raw, lurid detail the deplorable sexual attacks on a seven-year-old boy, his mother’s denial, and hopelessness that led to several suicide attempts, and how the Eagle saved him from drowning, and rescued him from a vicious rape.

In 2010 on one of his early trips back to El Salvador to the village where he was raised, Herrera encountered two of the men who molested and sexually abused him as a youth. He told them why it was wrong, the effect it had on him, and asked if they were still abusers. At the end of the encounter, he hugged his former abusers and forgave them…Men who are victims of sexual abuse don’t like to talk about their experiences which is why very few men will write a book about being molested as a helpless young boy of seven. And no author, except Perto H, will write a book filled with raw, shocking and horrid detail about those experiences..But Perto H. did exactly that in “The Invincible Flying Eagle” because he wants readers to come to grips with the reality of childhood abuse and understand just exactly what ‘s ‘sexual

Alyshas Thoughts: Perto Herrera wrote a moving story about a young boy and of his abusive childhood. He was only a little boy who was very poor living in a village in El Salvador. He had no father and his mother just kept on having babies with different men within the village. Perto and his sisters all worked to bring home food at the end of the day and even then that wasn’t always enough to feed his family. Until one day Perto’s mother was visited by a bad man, his name was X1, and he was very fond of Perto. The type of love X1 had for Perto was an inexcusable kind of love to have towards a child. For five miserable years Perto was abused and raped by X1, trying to receive help and protection Perto told his mother. Although she didn’t believe him, she just called him “a stupid, uneducated boy.” Perto wanted to kill himself so much but every time he tried he could not succeed. So one day when the Eagle saved him and promised to protect him Perto became brave enough to make X1 and all of the other X’s stop raping him. The Eagle helped bring him the happiness he deserved to have as a child. But even with the X’s gone Perto still had his mother to deal with. His mother was the mental abuser towards him. This story is very hard to read at times because of the details that are needed to make you understand the pain this boy went through. You cry and hope someone will help Perto. Perto Herrera states he wrote this story to help people see what can happen and to know as a parent it is your duty to protect your children no matter what. Excerpt #1:

Life is beautiful, and you deserve to live it the way it was meant to be, with plenty of happiness and freedom from any kind of abuse. I was a victim of many types of abuse, but I overcame the trauma, anger, frustration, and depression by releasing the past and living in the present. I accepted that what happened to me was and is a part of the unique history of my own life. If I could overcome it, you can too.
Excerpt 2:

There was a gentleman in our neighborhood named B1. I liked him very much because he was a quiet, good man—a gentleman is the only way to describe him. But there were rumors in the village, and people were saying that he was fooling around with my mother—or, perhaps, the other way around—my mother was fooling around with him. Although he was a single man, I didn’t believe the rumors. I remember I was so mad at everybody because they were saying bad things about two people I cared about. Well, unfortunately, I was wrong, and the rumors were true. A few months later, I noticed my mother’s tummy was getting bigger and bigger. She was pansona—pregnant Dahhh! So I guess that makes me a dummy? Or maybe I was just an innocent boy? Uhmmm…

When my grandpa became aware of my mother’s pregnancy, he was so mad that he wanted to kill her. He had an old rifle and actually went after her, so she ran to save her life and without even thinking about it, I followed her. There was no way I was going to be left behind or leave her to die alone. When we first fled home, I remember running through the creek and jungle. We hid, trying not to make any noise because Grandpa was always following close behind us and because I went with my mother, my grandfather was even more furious.

He kept calling my name, “Perto! Come back here, Perto. This is not your problem! The one who is going to die is your mother!”
Excerpt #3:

Soon after all of that happened, kids started bullying me at school. They teased me, making remarks about the incident, calling my mother a prostitute. They told me I was going to have a brother who wouldn’t be my real brother, just my half-brother. Who knew who the father was? They harassed me and stole school supplies from me. They tore up my belongings or threw them in the trash. They stubbed me with their pencils and called me all kinds of hurtful names, such as Walking Stick and Mr. Perfect—Perfect of Nothing. They hit my head and punched me so hard in the stomach and back that I thought I was going to pass out. It hurt so bad that I could not breathe or even cry. But the teachers didn’t seem to care. In fact, they allowed the bullying. I told them many times what was happening, but they always gave me the same answer: children can be mean like that. They told me I couldn’t hit back! I was not allowed to defend myself, yet all the bad, mean-spirited kids were never punished for the abuse!
Excerpt #4:

As far as I was concerned, he was speaking in another language. I had no idea what he was talking about, it didn’t make any sense to me. When he said that, however, all the others laughed, They thought he was joking. I was so mad at my mother for making me come out of my room, but even so I couldn’t blame her for what he was doing. There was no way my mother or anyone else would even imagine what perversion thoughts he had in his insane, dirty mind.

Each time I saw him, I disliked him more and more. I guess my odyssey was just starting, and unfortunately my life was not going to be an easy and happy life. I told myself that I would need to have more faith and pray much harder to Saint Michael the Archangel and Jesus Christ to protect me and make me strong to face whatever my destiny would be.

A native of Chalantenango, El Salvador, Perto Herrera escaped to Guatemala, then to Mexico and then Los Angeles and lived in the San Fernando Valley, Stockton and Tucson before moving to Houston. before and After graduating from high school, Herrera earned several certifications in home health care and general management. Before organizing his own company, in 1997 Ph Homecare Management, LLC, Herrera worked as an agricultural worker, medical assistant, radio operator, textile factory worker and has volunteered as a Red Cross blood processor, bilingual instructor, trainer for caregivers, and as a catechism instructor.

Summing up his mission, Herrera says: “I want the needy ones and victims of abuse to know that they are not alone anymore. I am here for them as they strive toward the pinnacles of personal recovery.”

My uncle raped me.

I was 10 years old when it started.

At 13 he told me I was no longer wanted because I had started to develop.

At 16 I was ready to kill him.

Today, I’m broken.

Today, I only breathe to survive.

My name’s Sergeant Major Ryan Jenkins and today, I’m ready to tell you my story.

***

“Master would flog me if I did, she won’t be happy when I tell her what happened here.”

“Master?”

“Stella.”

Oh, Master.

“It’s just such a difficult situation.”

“Of course it’s difficult.” She stops talking and taps her fingernails again. My eyes go to where she’s tapping, and then follow up to her face. I try to avoid her abrasive orbs. “You’re overpowered by agony and torment, and it’s slowly claiming you day by day.”

I finally concede and look into Stella’s eyes. Because every word she’s said, and every sentence that she’s breathed out has been so accurate about me.

“Freedom,” she says as I intake a huge gulp of air at that word. “I can promise you freedom if you can promise me you’ll never lie to me.”

Fuck.

I want it. I think I may even deserve my very own happily ever after. Are they real? According to movies and books they’re attainable. But this isn’t a movie, or even a fucking book.

This is my life.

And I’m going to try to get it.

“No lies, ever,” I whisper.

I don’t do ‘normal’.

I’ve found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader.
I take the normal and switch it around.
For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it’s the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I’ve done my job as an author I want to be.
I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different.
My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won’t label myself because I don’t like sticking to one genre.
My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it’s only for a split second.
I’m a go with the flow sort of person and don’t really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don’t usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I’ll be happy to accept.
I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don’t like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don’t believe that’s necessary, I mean life’s hard enough as it is!
I hope you enjoy my books, I’ve had a hoot writing them. There’s more to come…..
Til next time.
