The CAGED Series By Shay Savage

Takedown Teague(Caged #1):This is not made for TV. This is the raw, brutal underground of no-holds-barred combat. Inside the cage there is nothing but me and the pain I inflict on those who dare enter. In the cage, I never have to worry about anyone but myself. Yet, when she began standing outside of the cage, everything changed. I was no longer fighting for the money or the glory – I was fighting for her.

Aylhsa’s Thoughts: Takedown Teague – Liam Teague is an underground fighter who has been undefeated since he was found by his Coach, Yolanda. Liam tried running from his past by drowning himself in drugs, so fighting was the only thing that helped him stay clean. One night after a fight Liam found Tria attempting to walk home, but was approached by awful men. Liam, thank goodness was there to protect her, as well as scream to her about walking alone late at night. Walking her home Liam realized they lived the the same building which started their friendship of Liam walking her to and from work. They soon decided to move in together in a platonic relationship to help Tria when she lost her job. Tria opened up to Liam about her past, so when she needed to return home for her best friend Liam refused to let her go alone.

Trapped (Caged #2): Bizarre rituals on a remote island in Maine.
My crazy neighbor lying naked in the produce section of a grocery store.
The sting of a knife as it slices through my flesh.
Now I know why they say life is never easy.
The soft touch of Tria’s hand against my chest is the only thing that keeps me going, but there are consequences. As a fighter, I should be able to deal with anything life throws at me, but there is one circumstance I simply can’t handle.
I only have one coping mechanism: a tube around my arm and a needle in my vein.

Aylsha:s Thoughts: Trapped – Liam and Tria was in her old community to be part of her friend, Nikki’s, sacred ceremony to get pregnant. Liam couldn’t believe in the cult Tria was forced to grow up in, and tried to make sure the ceremony didn’t happen. After the ceremony was cancelled and they returned home, their relationship ended up going to the next level. Everything seemed to be falling into place until Tria found out her birth control was recalled and she ended up pregnant. Liam still couldn’t be open about his past, but when he found out about the baby all of his memories hit him all at once. His over reaction made Tria leave him, and Liam turned back to drugs.

Released(Caged #3): Oblivion is a sweet, sweet place.

No pain. No disturbing thoughts of the past. No guilt from my recent actions.

Deep down, there is still a part of me that knows how screwed up I am. I don’t see a way out, not now. Tria’s gone, and the possibility of her forgiving me in my current state is exactly zero. I know I have to pull myself together, accept my responsibilities, and try to make amends, but I have no idea where to start.

No job. No apartment. I’m living on the streets with the other junkies. As little as I had to offer Tria before, I have nothing to give her now. The only way out is to come clean and tell Tria the truth about my past, but the idea of reliving the memoires is so painful, I can’t think about it long enough to figure out a solution.

I’ve hit rock bottom, and I don’t even know which way is up any more.

Aylsha’s Thoughts: Released – Liam hit rock bottom again, but this time it was worse. He lost Tria, and now he was having a baby. Yolanda abandoned him, and the person he least expected help from was there to point out his issues. Knowing he needed to deal with his issues to get Tria back, Liam decided to start his journey on facing his past and reconnecting with his family. A difficult road, he was terrified at having a baby, but knew with Tria by his side he could do anything.
