Kayla’s Chick Rant and Book Blog
April 17, 2016
They say when you quit trying so hard, things will finally fall into place. So, I let go of my failed marriage to Aiden, focused all my attention on my daughter and finishing school while working a full-time job, and suddenly…
Barely breathing turned into surviving.
Surviving turned into being content.
Contentment turned into happiness.
All just my girl and me.
But there was still something missing, something I truly never thought I’d have.
My happily ever after.
My thoughts: First I need to start by saying that I have read all three books back to back in the last week. K.D. does an amazing jobs. She is one of the first blogs I followed when I realized there was a world for this… after seeing that she wrote books about her own life, her happily ever after I knew I wanted to read them, but I wanted to wait till all of it was out. So now I have read them. I have not posted reviews on the first two, so let me do that on here just real quick. Since you know this is her real life story you know that it is not going to be one of those over dramatic full of crazy shootings, rape, etc. But that by no means that this book is dull. Kayla has gone through some heart break in her 20 years of life and when she tries to find a stand in I knew that wouldn’t work out. I myself had tried  that once, but she has an amazing miracle to show for it. In the first two books you learn who this amazing blogger and author is and see the road it took to get there. I flew through those books they were so good. I think knowing that I was reading about someone I follows life made it better. (Mind you I would never read about Kim K’s life because I can’t stand fake people) anyways, back to Kayla. I can’t believe that growing up with four brothers was easy, I also know I will probably never be able to be brave enough to tell my story the way she did. Open, honest and true AMAZING!! This brings me to the last book her happily ever after that we were all waiting to hear about. Kayla pours her heart out to her followers, her family and her soul mate.
We learn that not everything is easy even after you know you are with the person you are meant to be with. Kayla and Jason still have a lot of growing to do together. When they discover that Kayla is going to have another baby I wont lie I was a little worried and I cried with her/for her while reading that book. My heart hurt for her. I can’t imagine that feeling knowing that it was nearly impossible for Jason to have a baby and that you were carrying a miracle would be scary for anyone. To add on to all of this you know you have to move across the country to make your new family work. Super scary. Through it all we get to watch Jason, Kayla and Josalyn grow and learn. It was amazing and makes me like Kayla even more. And truthfully Jason too cause at first I was really mad at him, even knowing that they end up together…. Jason you are a pretty awesome guy, and you truly brought out the best in yourself and Kayla!!!

KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance author since the first time she picked up her mom’s Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married and had babies. Putting her dream job on hold to raise her family as a stay at home mom, who read entirely too much, she created a blog where she could keep her family and friends up-to-date on all the hottest reads. From there, by word of mouth, her blog took off and she began using her hard-earned degree as a Senior Editor for Hot Tree Editing. When her kids started school, and with the encouragement from her many author friends, she finally sat down and started working on her first series, The Blogger Diaries, her very own real life romance.
