Elliot McLaughlin joined the U.S. Marine Corps right out of high school to provide for his wife and son. He’d never intended to become a father so young, but was willing to do what it took to give his family everything they needed.

After Elliot’s family goes missing, he returns from war to an empty home. Obsessed with discovering who took his family, he investigates their disappearance and plots his revenge.

Passion brings Maggie and Elliot together. Obsession pushes them apart. As a bitter battle begins between Elliot and the Crows, Maggie’s heart hangs in the balance.

Alysha’s Thoughts:

What would you do if your family disappeared forever? How about after you learn about their horrible fate? Would you want to seek revenge? Or would you want to try and move on with your life, find a sense of peace?

Well Four Crows, by Lily White, will bring all of those questions together, but not in the way you would think. This book was a fantastic read, so many emotions, twists and turns on every page. Lily truly captivates you in the emotions of each character, you are truly able to see the book come alive with each word read.

Elliott lost his wife and his son while he was serving in the military, once he came home it became his mission to find the truth. Several years went by before he connected the dots, which lead him straight to the family who disappeared every so often for “work”. Elliott knew exactly what he needed to do in order to avenge his family, and finally put his mind and heart to rest with them. Only he wasn’t ready for the woman who he was planning on using, he wasn’t ready for the world he was going to help open his eyes to.

Maggie, she knew what he family did for a living, and knew just how horrible  they were. But besides her brothers, she loved her father unconditionally, but she knew she deserved more. So when Elliott first appeared and she felt the instant attraction to him she knew she wanted to push the boundaries and have a little fun.  Only she knew she had to keep her families secrets, especially when it came to Elliott’s family.

In the course of Elliott’s revenge and Maggie’s secrets they found out so much more to the their story. Only would it be enough to give them what they wanted without losing their lives.
