Synopsis

Sweet, shy and a bit goofy, Tinley Michaels has it all: a great mother, a wonderful, sexy, loving boyfriend, and her whole life ahead of her. One day her world is turned upside down when the love of her life suddenly leaves her without reason. She is left broken and vulnerable and vows to never let a man destroy her again. Months later, she decides to dust herself off and finally realize her dream of being a Broadway star. With nothing holding her back, she leaves everything she’s ever known in Texas to start her new life in New York City. She moves in with her cousin, makes some great new friends, gets a steady job and an audition for a part in a small theater. Things are heading in the right direction.

Tinley isn’t looking for anyone. She is jaded but still hopelessly in love with her first love. That’s when, by chance, she meets Van Whitaker, the smooth talking sexy lead singer of the best-selling rock band, Ripping Pages. She labels him a man-whore/rock-n-roll douchebag immediately. Van tries to show her that he’s no longer that guy and that he sees something in Tinley worth trying to be better for. Even though he makes her feel things she’s only read about in the hundreds of romance novels she’s shamelessly addicted to, she is scared he will leave her even more broken than she already is. Should she give this gorgeous rock star the time of day? And what will she do when she comes face to face with her past and she must make a decision that will change her future and her forever?

What happens when the page you ripped out of the book of your life suddenly tries to put itself back into the story?

My thoughts: I loved this book! Rachel asked me if I would like to be on this tour and there was no way I could say no! I have a thing for books that have hot guys who can sing and play guitar!!! HMMM I wonder who doesn’t!! When we met Tinley she is a sad little broken gilr who has decided that she needs to pick up and make her dreams come true no matter what anyone else thinks. Her mom lives so far away and her boyfriend up and left her so when she moves to NY with her cousin her main goal is to make her dreams of being on stage come true. Well her cousin has other plans for her so she goes to a party and runs into one sexy guy who is in a band she doesnt listen to which he loves about her. But Tin has no clue what do with herself she feels like she is out of her element with him. She feels a pull to him Van has something about him that she just cant let go of. He supports her dreams and is there for her when she didnt think anyone would ever be again. Van pulls things out of her that she didnt know she had. You can see her slowly getting over her ex that left her high and dry. Than one day her past comes to smack her in the face almost literaly she is torn, but people seems to make decisions for her and she is not sure what to do. She wants what she thinks she can no longer have, and that breaks her down even more and she seems to start going down the path that she isnt sure she wants. Her friends are sticking by her side even though you can tell they want to tell her to snap out of it and see what she is losing. When tradgey strikes the pull she thought was gone reappears but that doesnt mean she is willing to let her heart make her choices anymore. Rachel does such a great job on making sure that you feel everything that is happening in this book. You dont feel rushed, you dont feel as if you are going to miss something or be pulled away from something. I think the story of Tinley and Van could have gone very wrong in another writers hand but Rachel did it just right!!!! I thank her very much for trusting me enough with her book!!!

Excerpt

“I’ve spent the last thirty years proving to myself that I wasn’t crazy. I’ve… helped… people with paranormal activity.”

“You’re a ghost hunter?” I snorted, listening to the monitor crackle and Perry cry out softly. Will gave a deep, amused sigh, gesturing to the house.

“I am going to bed. Ten minutes, Eva.”

I automatically scowled at his order. “I’ll be up in a little while,” I countered, using all of my self control not to tell him off for treating me like a kid.

“Yes, love.” He bent to me, practically lifting me off the ground to catch me off guard with a possessive kiss. I could only hold on to his shoulders as his mouth moved over mine, and it took me five witless seconds to realize that the display was completely for Cole.

Men, marking their territory. Please.

“I won’t keep her long,” Cole promised, and Will responded with a quick nod before heading for the house. “All happily ever after here, I take it?”

I turned to him, tucking my hands under the sleeves of my hoodie. “Obviously. Now tell me what’s going on.”

He scratched his chin. “No, I’m not a ghost hunter. I just… lend a hand. When crazy, unexplainable shit happens.”

“I hate to tell you this, but people die. Every day. I’m sure the toxicology reports will come back with some fun party results.”

He stared at me, contemplating. I returned his look, waiting impatiently. Finally, he pulled his phone out of his pocket, handing it over to me.

“The security cameras caught her death. There’s no sound. Eva honey, are you sure you can handle this?”

I accepted his iPhone, shrugging. “Um, I set my father-in-law on fire from the inside out. I think I can handle watching someone die.”

His palm covered my hand, and his fingertip swept the screen open. His nails weren’t nearly as manicured as Will’s, and his calloused skin felt rough on mine. “No sound,” he repeated, and I nodded, trying not to appear as confused as I felt.

The street lamp flickered over our heads, and I waved my hand to turn the bulb completely off, leaving us in darkness.

The video began with an aerial view of Nina, black and white, in the studio. I could hear that the sound had been wiped from the video, and the continuous, looping whisper kept time with my heartbeat as my pulse began to pound in my ears.

Nina was tall and blonde, with adorable dimples that kept her looking years younger than her actual age. She had two fingers over her earpiece as she sang, and I watched her drag the back of her other hand over her brow in mid-verse.

She stopped singing, and the rushing sound intensified.

She was coughing; I watched her reach for something, and then tip her head back and take a long drink from a bottle of water.

Cole’s hand slid around my waist, and I almost screamed. I’d been so involved in the video, waiting, holding my breath, I’d almost forgotten he was next to me.

“Eva.” He warned. I ignored him, narrowing my eyes and focusing on the iPhone screen.

Nina stilled suddenly, and the water bottle slipped from her hand.

Long seconds passed as she stood there, frozen, still, and I started to lift my finger to touch the screen, checking to see if the video paused.

Her head jerked down violently, chin to chest. All of her hair surrounded her face.

When her head snapped upward to meet the camera face-on, my hand clamped over Cole’s arm.

Her mouth was a wide, dark O, no teeth, no sound… no pupils. Blackness seeped from the corners of her eyes, and she began to bend backward, further, further still, until her entire body was folded- backwards- at the waist.

Meet the Author

Kelly GendronKelly resides in a quiet suburb somewhere between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, NY. Her day job? Kelly works in health care representing a group of nursing facilities in the WNY area. She’s been faithfully writing for three years but did write her first book ten years ago. She put it down to raise her son as a single mom and then picked it back up when she and her son finally grew up. That’s when she settled into her newly married adult life and started to seriously write again. She’s dabbled with Romantic Suspense stories, but recently she’s been on a contemporary kick. The recipe for the men in her stories: a dash of bad boy attitude, a cup of strong and confident and, of course, besides being packed with magnificent bodies, and doused with shameless aptitudes, they must have a tender heart you want to rip out of the pages (or your e-Reader) and take to bed with you at night.Excerpt

“Finish getting ready. We’re outta here in a few minutes,” he said, then turned his back to her.

She struggled to retort from the total body meltdown. “Are we heading back to your apartment?”

“Yes,” he said just as he disappeared from the doorway.

“Good.” She raised her voice. “You can drop me off at the bus stop then.”

Chase’s head swayed back in the doorway. “Come again?”

“I’m going home, but I’ll be back in time for Caplin’s arrival on Thursday.”

Chase stepped back into the room. “Why do you want to go home?”

The question caught her off guard. She’d assumed he’d be pleased to be rid of her. Nonetheless, telling him the truth wasn’t an option. “As you said, the only reason we needed to spend time together was so I could get to know you, so we can convince Caplin we’re married.”

His forehead wrinkled. “And you feel like you know me now?”

“Well enough to pull off a bullshit marriage, yes.”

“Hmm.” He rubbed his chin, then dropped his hand and took a step toward her. His intense regard held her captive.

She clung to those dark eyes, waiting for him to say something.

“I don’t want you to go.” His low, husky words resonated in her ears.

Her body hesitated, her heart skipped, and her nerves stammered. She was convinced that all of her senses had failed her, because she was sure she hadn’t heard him right. “What?”

“There’re a few more things you need to know about me in order to successfully pull this off, Jessina.”

Every single one of her senses came back to life as he approached her.

“Will you stay here with me just one more night?” he asked, stopping in front of her. “So I can show them to you?”

“What?” Heat flushed through her body once more. “What sort of things?”

Dark, ravishing eyes dropped to her mouth as he drew a finger down the side of her cheek. It trailed along her neck, gently grazing her shoulder and caressing the length of her arm. “The sort of things I would do with my real wife.” He looked back up at her, his hand now settled on her hip. The weight of his touch caused her stomach to clench with desire. His hand shifted to the small of her back, and her next breath got caught in her throat. “I want to show you how my wife would make me feel when I’m this close to her.” He applied light pressure with his hand to her back, and the space between them descended. Their bodies became one.

“Chase…” His name fell from her lips in a near whisper when his hardness pressed into her tight-with-desire belly.

“Jessina…” he hissed back in a throaty murmur…

Excerpt

The drive to Indianapolis had never felt longer. Of course, it didn’t help that I had been stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for the last five miles. Everybody and their brother must have had the same idea as I had, at least in part. But I wasn’t starting the weekend early, heading down to the state capital on Friday night to party.

I was about to start the rest of my life.

With nothing better to do while I crept along, I turned the volume up on the radio only to immediately wish I hadn’t. I’d forgotten that I’d had Parabelle playing on my way to Matthew’s last night. After our fight and my hasty exit, I’d muted the volume and it had stayed that way until just now. Sitting here in traffic allowed me to focus on the lyrics; the feelings they evoked weren’t pretty. Tears clouded my vision as I related my own experiences to those in the songs. Perhaps I was reading too much into things, but it was like they had been written about me. I eventually conceded defeat and turned the stereo completely off. No, music wasn’t good for me right now. Maybe never again.

It shouldn’t have been like this. I shouldn’t have been relating to sorrow and heartbreak and sacrifice. Just two days prior, my boyfriend of ten years had proposed. I should have been all rainbows and unicorns and happiness, not looking in my rearview mirror in hopes to find a black Camry behind me.

Matthew had let me go. Part of me had wanted to see his car in the parking lot after I came out of work. I had wanted him to stop me; at least try to talk me out of going down to see Eric tonight. I wanted him to apologize even though he hadn’t really been in the wrong. He had a valid point. Kissing him, expecting anything more from him when I was a heartbeat away from becoming someone else’s wife was very stupid.

But he hadn’t shown up. After all those weeks of tension between us, of second guessing every little thing he did and reading way more meaning into it than was necessary, he had thrown in the towel. Maybe he hadn’t even been interested in fighting for me in the first place. Maybe I had just believed the pictures that everyone around me had painted.

My brief conversation with Blake had told me what I needed to know. Matthew hadn’t mentioned last night to her, and I wasn’t about to bring it up. Her brother could remain on the pedestal she had built for him and she would never be the wiser. I had respected her wishes and not hurt him. I had, however, impaled myself in the process.

Come to think of it, Blake had given up rather easily as well. Granted I had packed up my entire room and stolen away practically in the middle of the night, but still. I had expected more from her. Sure she had texted, and even pretended to be an irate customer with a subpar credit score to reach me at work, but she had turned around and abruptly exited the arena with her tail between her legs when I mentioned Eric’s name.

And so here I was, inching along in Indy’s rush hour traffic, momentarily homeless. All my worldly possessions fit in the trunk of my car, much the same as they had when I hauled them away from my studio apartment on the wrong side of town. The only thing that had changed was they were now stowed in a much larger, shinier vehicle.

My adult life had always been largely transient. Leases could be broken – I had just proven that to be true this morning – and jobs didn’t really, truly, tie you down either. I could insert and remove myself from people’s lives on a whim and they barely noticed. No matter how badly I wanted them to.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a black Toyota change lanes. Instinctively, my breath caught and I turned slightly in its direction to look at the driver without full-on staring. My heart sunk when I realized it was a false alarm. I cursed him for having such a ubiquitous car. I had never really noticed how many people drove Camrys until I had a reason to look for one in particular.

It was stupid of me to even imagine him rushing down here after me. I had told Blake I was going to Indy for goodness sakes. He didn’t know where Eric lived; he had never been down here with me before to see where my comfort zone was. He had no idea where my favorite local haunts were. It wasn’t as though he would blindly stumble upon me through sheer force of will. It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

And in order to be found, someone had to be looking.

I swallowed down the bile in my throat that came with the realization that he had done just what I had asked. He had left me alone. That’s what I had screamed at him when I’d jerked away from his touch and stormed out his door. Except for a final text message which I’d handily ignored, that had been our final contact.

Sort of like Blake and Chris and their whole “rot in hell” moment. Whatever good memories that I could take away from our brief friendship/massive crush would be clouded forever by the explosive ending. An ending that I had put into motion all on my own.

As much as I wanted to blame him for the mess I had made, I knew I alone had created it. I had practically ambushed him last night. I’d conducted my own fishing expedition of sorts trying to gauge his interest in me. I couldn’t be upset that he had given me an answer I didn’t want to hear.

We couldn’t be anything. The thought of us being together was stupid. It just wouldn’t work.

Madeleine Abducted By M.S. Willis

maddycoveralt2-206x300Book Description:
She was meant to be his destruction…
A pawn played in a perilous game between
father and son…
Yet, her strength was more than either
man could imagine.
As Maddy learns to save herself…
She becomes the one thing that could
set the son free.

Madeleine Clark was raised to become a concert cellist. Sheltered and naïve, she remains hidden behind her music, a protection from the world around her. On the night of her first solo performance, Maddy accepts the admiration of a stranger and finds herself captive in a cruel and twisted power struggle between a sadistic father and his son, Aaron.

Seemingly, dangerous and uncaring, Aaron manages the business operations of his father’s estate. Wanting nothing to do with the slaves kept at the Estate, Aaron refuses to take part in the deeper depravities of his father. Despite his resistance, Aaron’s father ‘gifts’ him with a petite, brunette woman he can’t refuse.

A bond forged in conspiracy and deceit, Aaron struggles to save Maddy by teaching her to survive in the world in which he’d been raised. An unlikely union, Aaron soon learns that great strengths can exist within small packages, while Madeleine learns that love and light can exist in the darkest of places.

Alysha Thoughts: An innocent woman taken into the gateway to hell, never to return again. In this book Madeleine Abduction by M.S. Willis starts this book by warning you the events to be taken place within the book. M.S. Willis also makes note how this story does not have a happy ending. With that said Madeleine Abduction has the story of complete torture given by heartless people. Although one man, known as The Assassin, Aaron, still has some heart left from his mother. His right hand, Xander will try to overturn all the torture within his world. Madeleine, also known as Maddy, was captured to be his for the taking and for his tortuous fantasies could not bring himself to treat Maddy as others were treated, as he has strong feelings for her. They learn how to live in the Dominant and Submissive role very easily that works for their relationship, but in public things change for the man holding the Throne, Aaron’s father. When things take an interesting turn Aaron doesn’t know if he can put Maddy through the pain and torture just to save his own life. “I will not let Madeleine’s life slip away in order to save mine. She is light while I am darkness, she is raw beauty and so blessedly pure while I am nothing more than a poison to humanity. She deserves her life far more than I deserve mine.” Xander tries to talk Aaron into changing his mind, but Aaron doesn’t listen. Madeleine overhears everything Aaron says so she tells him she wants to stay with him by her choice and her choice alone. She also wants to help him with what is wrong within his world and to finally kill his father. Once this alliance is formed and plans are made many more of Aaron’s father’s ways continue to break down Maddy and Aaron. M.S. Willis brings so many emotions and keeps you hooked waiting in suspense of what the outcome will be. Will Aaron and Maddy reach their goals or die trying. Maddy’s words help the light shine through Aaron’s darkness during this horrible time. “Remember to be strong Aaron. If that is what you must do, than I’ll never hold you accountable.” Madeleine Abduction is great erotic suspense story that will keep you alert throughout the entire book.

My Thoughts: WOW I love M.S. Willis, her books never disapoint and I really didn’t think she could get better than the ones I read this year, but this book hooked me right from the start and took a turn that I did not see coming. Aaron is a deeply troubled guy who wants to be out the only life he has ever known, unitl he sees that his father has done something so unspeakable that he has no choice but to make Maddy something that she is not, and to break her down. To be told there is no hero or happy ending was something that I was ok with. I am not one of those girls that needs a happy ending all the time. Aaron does not want Maddy to be there he is trying to everything to save her and you can feel their pull to each other and niether one wants anything bad to happen to the other, but can you truly save someone with out saving yourself? When Maddy becomes someone she never thought she could or would be it changes everything inside the hell that she is now calling her life. It also changes everything for everyone around her in this hell. Aaron is at a loss on what to do but he knows that with out her everything would have still been the same as it ever was. M.S. Willis does a great job on keeping you on your toes, and it does not end the way you think it should or will but it ends just right which is amazing! I never knew that a book written from this kind of point of view would be so amazing but it and I am so thankful that I read it! She is for sure going on my list of authors that I will have to remember to grab books from when they come out!!!

Melissa Collins 2I’ve always been an avid reader. Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer. Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer. I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it. When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity. My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there. I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Excerpt 1 (the opening of the novel):
Things like this don’t happen to me.
As we swayed slightly awkwardly in time with the warblings of a ballad being sung by one of those manufactured boybands, I tried to enjoy the moment for what it was: me, Cass Jones, dancing with Rob Meadows at the Sixth Form Christmas party.
Rob Meadows, star of the school rugby team.
Rob Meadows, blonde god of gorgeousness.
Me.
The evening was coming to an end and, after the rowdy jump-dancing of earlier, the DJ was playing the compulsory slow numbers that signalled the end of the party for some but just the start of the evening for others. And there I was, still dancing.
The Sixth Form Christmas party was a highlight of the school social calendar, especially as it usually provided significant fodder for the yearbook. All of Year 13 had started to think about lives beyond school, our small town, even our friends, as part of the university application process. Consequently, there was a sense of desperation to our attempts to create some happy memories to take with us. There we were, on the cusp of legal adulthood, yet not really sure of our place in the world.
Neve and I had debated whether or not to even bother going to the party. As habitual residents of the social periphery, we didn’t really belong to any of the usual cliques found in most high schools. And we were OK with that, enjoying the sense of irony in watching those cliques shift and re-shape, occasionally even imploding.
I’m not trying to suggest that the evening was some sort of Ugly Duckling transformation story. I am definitely not Cinderella.
But it was clear that others, as well as me, were surprised to see me there, doing that. I was dressed in some black lace concoction that Neve had assured me was ‘a little bit sexy, but definitely not slutty’, opaque tights and a pair of ballet flats. It had been a nightmare trying to find something to wear that looked dressy enough, covered enough and didn’t look like it should be worn by my mum. Neve had managed to cajole my hair into a side sweep of loose waves and hide the couple of spots that had appeared, as if on cue, that morning. I knew I didn’t look like most of the other girls, especially those with their fake tans, fake hair and fake nails, but I was OK with that.
Usually I was happy with the office-wear rules that made up the dress code for Sixth Form: black trousers, a plain tee shirt and a cardigan had become my own unofficial uniform. So maybe people were surprised to see me in a dress. Or maybe it was because Rob was dancing with me.
That was more likely the cause.
About half an hour earlier, Rob Meadows had come over to our table, drink in hand, sat down and started chatting like we were long-time friends. He joked about some of the teachers, and recalled some of the funny moments from when we had lessons together in main school. As the conversation continued, he had moved his chair closer to mine, as though he was struggling to hear what I was saying. At one point, when he touched my arm to point out the drunken antics of one of the other rugby team players, I finally got the message.
Rob was flirting with me.
When he asked me to dance, I looked across at Neve, who was bravely trying not to look like a fifth wheel. I knew she was as surprised as me at what was happening; this had not even been considered in the endless discussions we had had about the evening before tonight. She shrugged her shoulders and I got up to follow Rob to the area where a few couples were in varying stages of becoming physically acquainted with each other. My heart was pounding. I had never danced with anyone other than Neve, and never like this! I decided that I just had to follow his lead; clearly this wasn’t going to be his first time.
As we moved together in time with the music, I felt the tautness of Rob’s waist beneath my hands. I had worried about what to do with my hands but he had gently taken them and placed them on his hips before gathering his own around my neck, pulling me close. His thumb was softly rubbing my nape, the tiny movement sending shivers up and down my spine. My breath became shallower with each tingle.
Was this what all the fuss was about? If so, I finally got it.
One sway brought us closer together and I was sure that I could feel him pressing into my hip. I’d never been that close to a boy before, well, not in that way, and I didn’t have the foggiest about what to do. I was sure that most of the girls would be able to laugh it off with some innuendo-laden joke, some might even have moved in closer. But I wasn’t one of those girls and the last thing I wanted was to mess up what could be the best night of my life by handling it wrong. What if he ended up laughing at me?
Within seconds though his one hand ran down my spine, leaving a line of warmth that went straight to my very core. Of course I’d been turned on before but never like this; never from the real-life touch of a real-life boy. The tingling feeling spread through me, taking my disbelief hostage along the way. Rob’s hand lingered at the curve of my bum and pulled me closer to him. There was no way I could pretend not to know what it was pressed against me.
“Can I cut in?” What? I was convinced it must be a joke; Neve’s brother Flynn was trying to ruin my perfect moment? I gave him a withering look and held on tight to Rob. “Can I have this dance?” Flynn persisted, like he was a character out of a bloody Jane Austen novel.
“Uh, sure mate. I’ll go get us another drink, Cass.” Rob gave me a long look, full of meaning I couldn’t decipher, and walked to the end of the room where his friends were rowdily clustered around the bar. Meanwhile I was stood like a statue in the middle of the dancing couples. When Flynn tried to take hold of me, in a bizarre repeat of Rob’s earlier move, I squirmed away.
“What the hell are you doing?” I demanded, unsure whether I was angry, frustrated or both. Flynn’s shoulder shrug added to my fury. “Can’t you see that the last thing I want at this precise moment is what has just happened?” Flynn smirked and put his arms on my shoulders. “I mean it, Flynn!” I didn’t want to make even more of a spectacle of myself but I couldn’t remember feeling that angry before.
“Just hold me and pretend that you’re having the best time of your life,” he whispered into my ear, so close I felt him inhale.

FEVERISH (bullet #3) By Jade C Jamison

feverish

Blurb: Clayton “Jet” Smith has enjoyed acting the part of rock star god bad boy since his breakup with rock goddess Valerie Quinn. He’s racking up quite a score playing the field, and he has no plans to settle down anytime soon. His biggest problem these days is meeting his obligations, because he’s so busy having fun, he forgets the important things.

To help him out, he hires recent graduate Emily Brinkman to be his personal assistant, and he quickly finds a fire burning in his belly for her. There are two problems, however. The first is that Emily is engaged to be married, a fact that leaves Jet unfazed. The second problem isn’t so easy to surmount, though. Emily is disgusted and unimpressed by both sides of the man.

Will Clay find a way to persuade Emily to try him out, not just for one night, but for all time?

Feverish moves the Bullet story forward. You don’t want to miss this one!

My thoughts: GOD DAM Jade never gets it wrong! She is amazing!!! I loved Jet/Clay in Bullet. I know some people did not, but there was something about him. He might have been my favorite because deep down I knew he was an amazing guy who just liked to get it on!!!! In this we learn even more about him and he is even more amazing than I ever thought. Clay is not a very put together person, the book starts off by his power getting shut off!!! Not because he doesn’t have the money simply because he forgot to pay the bill! His friends are always on him to get his shit together, he is amazing at everything he touches even with the ladies! He decides with the help of this beloved housecleaner that he needs PA. But he is not won over very easily but there is something about Emily that he can’t say no to. When Emily starts she gets “his shit” has he puts it together very quickly which is amazing considering the stack of mail he had sitting on his desk. He starts to feel a pull to Emily even though he knows he can’t have her for several reasons. Than when hears something that he shouldn’t hear he feels the pull to her become even stronger. Than one day she comes in ready for anything and their whole story changes. They both try to make it so it doesn’t happen but it does! And I love it, I love these two together, they are amazing they pull out the best in each other. Now onto my sweet Clay/Jet I would take him as Clay everywhere but the bedroom and then in the bedroom I would take him as Jet!!!! That sounds really wrong and I don’t care. Clay turns out to be a super sweet and loving guy though if you paid attention in Bullet you already knew that because of how much he loves his daughter, and how much he loved Val because he let her go even though he didn’t want too. You learn how Jet came about and how he rocks it out on stage! I don’t really know what else I can say with out giveaway Jade’s whole book! All I can say is in the links below you will find the links to get it so go get it and read it and tell me what you think, though I already know that you will love it like I did!!!!

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade’s day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn’t stop her from doing a little writing herself.

Unfortunately, there’s no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women’s fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description. But you’ll see that her writing doesn’t quite fit any of those genres.

You’ll have to discover Jade’s writing for yourself to decide if you like it.

Lick (Stage Dive #1) by Kylie Scott

lick

Blurb: Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll’s favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.

My thoughts: WOW so another blogger told me about this book and I wasnt to sure about it at first. It sounded good but I had heard mixed reviews. I read it and loved it!!!! Kylie did an amazing job, she shows you that not everyone is who they appear to be. David is a hard core rocker, who managed to get a nice little girl to fall for him in Vegas! I mean who hasnt has a little too much to drink. Evelyn does not want the life that comes with her new husband that she doesnt really remember. She does try to make this work and you can tell she really likes him, but when you marry a rock star and get inked up on the same night your world is no longer your own. She doesnt think they are right for each other. She tries to move on and go back her life, but she keep thinking he is there and he is watching her. Guys keep coming up to her trying to get her to go on a date, but she is a smart cookie and knows way better than that. I love how hard both Evelyn and David push in this book. I think they are bothing trying to fight something they know deep down inside they cant live with out. You learn so much that Rockers arent always what they appear to be. Kylie did an amazing job of showing that a super hot sexy rock god can take your heart in such a good way and never give it back no matter how hard you try and fight it. What I really liked about this book was that there was research done, Kylie didnt try to write about something she didnt really know about. There are a very few authors I know that go through this much trouble. I can not wait for the next one to come out! Kylie makes sexy rock gods come to life and I can not wait for it!!!!
